We arrived safely at the AmericInn. Nice little hotel. Beth ended up driving all the way from our DQ stop...entertained by one of MaryKay's books on tape--or more specifically, an audiobook on iPod. Lots of wide-open country, blue sunny skies with fun-shaped clouds...MK found a hummingbird. We have seen horses and cows and a goat/ram/something sculpture made out of hay. This area also provides the aroma of cows, free of charge! Running out to grab dinner. Fairfield claims to have more restaurants per capita than San Francisco. Wow!
