We are still learning how this blog thingy works. ;D
Here is our first pic upload. When we arrived at the hotel last night, Bella jumped out with her phone to call her "Edward" and had no cell phone access. What?! I turned around and saw her walking with her hand in the air. Fortunately, my phone had access. MK to save the day!
Then off to check out downtown Fairfield and get some dinner...they had all these cute mailboxes on the street corners...
and per the check-in clerk at the hotel, we went to dinner at The Red Rock Tavern. You had to walk up the stairs to the second floor to find a very nice dining area. The first thing we saw as we reached the top of the stairs were three ladies in black long dresses with tatoos (artsy ones) everywhere! They had punk-ish hairstyles and we thought maybe they had been in a play or something. They were leaving. We asked the hostess and she said they owned a local tatoo parlor! Oh my, I was hoping those were just painted on! I can't even imagine! Then Beth and I had a discussion about whether we ever wanted a tatoo. I came up with a resounding "NO" and Beth said maybe something on the top of her foot...that she had started on her shoulder and worked her way down to her foot eventually! Will she...???
11:14 a.m. Iowa time...off to the races. More from Bella from the road about her experiences this morning (Day 2).
