Mile 718

Just made a pit stop at a rest area outside of Adair, Iowa. As we pulled into our parking spot, we were looking straight ahead at a young, hot-body guy doing yoga moves, shirtless. MaryKay is panting now at the memory as I write this. LOL! We ended up getting pictures of a wind turbine piece they had on display there. Very tall. Sparked conversation with the yoga dude and a German motorcyclist. As we pulled back onto the highway, we were greeted with a field of several turbines. I guess if we had taken more time to read about them at the rest stop, I would have more knowlegable info to share with you. Instead we have pictures. :) As MaryKay says, we are more photo journalists for this blog versus being verbose. Hahahaha! Update from the morning: It began with me heading out to the Sustainable Living Center that was recently completed on the campus of the Mahirishi University of Management. There, I met a nice woman named Darneeta. She was born and raised in Detroit, and now splits her time between Fairfield and Denver, CO. Seemed appropro since we are moving MK back to Denver. Anyhow, she and I had a lively conversation covering a variety of topics. From there I drove by an area of Ecovillage homes and then out to the Vedic City with more of them. I stopped into The Raj hotel and spa. No classes today and not enough time for spa treatments. Maybe my next visit. ;D I had a little bit of time left before reconnecting with Sleeping Beauty back at the hotel, so I popped into the MUM student center. Not much to share since there was little activity going on. Of note though, all meals on the campus are vegetarian and prepared with organic ingredients. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the Greenhouse or the beehives. Gas was a low $3.39 as I filled up to prepare us for our departure. My little excursion was a mere 17 miles. Overall, a good stop. Dinner was good last night and the hotel comfy. I got to see some of the areas I had hoped to and met Darneeta. :)
